Zimbabwean Entrepreneur Pasi William Sachiti Develops Self-Driving Delivery Car

Meet William Sachiti, a 39-year-old entrepreneur and inventor from Zimbabwe 🇿🇼. He is the founder and CEO of Kar-go, a company pioneering driverless car manufacturing. Kar-go is celebrated as Europe’s first street-legal self-driving vehicle and competes with industry giants like Google and Tesla.

Kar-Go: The Future of Autonomous Deliveries

UK-based Zimbabwean entrepreneur, Pasi William Sachiti, has developed a self-driving delivery car named Kar-Go, which he claims will be ready for public streets in just six months.

The vehicle, which uses artificial intelligence (AI) to navigate roads, is designed to autonomously deliver packages to homes and can carry up to a dozen parcels per trip.

Solving the Last-Mile Delivery Problem

Speaking to Techzim, Sachiti explained the motivation behind Kar-Go:

“The problem we are trying to solve is that in the world of delivery, up to 80% of the cost of getting a parcel to you occurs in the last mile. We want to remove that cost by automating the process of delivery entirely.”

By eliminating the need for human drivers, Kar-Go aims to significantly reduce delivery costs, making logistics faster, cheaper, and more efficient.

Key Partnerships and AI Advancements

To bring Kar-Go to life, Sachiti’s company, Academy of Robotics, has partnered with Pilgrim Motorsports, a car manufacturing company assisting in production. Additionally, the startup has been accepted into Nvidia’s Inception AI Accelerator program, which provides access to:
âś… Advanced AI expertise
✅ Nvidia’s GPU resources for self-driving technology
âś… Autonomous vehicle development support

These partnerships accelerate the development of Kar-Go, ensuring that the vehicle remains at the forefront of AI-driven transportation.

Crowdfunding Success: Raising Capital for Growth

Sachiti’s startup is actively fundraising through Crowdcube, a crowdfunding platform. In just five days, the company has already raised over £40,000 of its £300,000 target.

The funds will be used to:

  • Build prototype vehicles and manufacturing molds to speed up production
  • Develop driverless infrastructure to help Kar-Go process large amounts of real-time data

If everything goes as planned, the first street-legal prototype will be ready within the year.

Kar-Go vs. Drones: The Future of Autonomous Delivery

While driverless technology is nothing new, with companies like Google, Uber, Tesla, and Amazon leading the race, Kar-Go has an advantage over drones in the delivery space.

Drones face challenges such as:
🚫 Limited payload capacity – restrictions on weight and parcel size
🚫 High operational costs – expensive per trip compared to land vehicles
🚫 Stricter regulatory hurdles – drone deliveries face more government restrictions than autonomous cars

Kar-Go addresses these issues by offering a cost-effective, scalable, and regulatory-compliant solution to last-mile deliveries.

Training AI with Zimbabwean Roads

Sachiti, who frequently visits Zimbabwe (where his mother and brother live), revealed that his last trip was just six months ago.

“I was last in Zimbabwe to record footage of driving on roads in Harare. We use this footage to train the driverless car on how to navigate potholes by learning from how we drive.”

This real-world data is crucial in making Kar-Go adaptable to challenging road conditions worldwide.

A Track Record of Entrepreneurial Success

Kar-Go is not Sachiti’s first groundbreaking venture. His previous startups include:
✔ Clever Bins – A smart advertising bin company, which gained attention on Dragon’s Den before being sold.
✔ My City Venue – An event ticketing platform that was later acquired.

His proven entrepreneurial background adds credibility to Kar-Go’s potential success.

A Chance to Invest in the Future

For those in Zimbabwe and beyond, Crowdcube accepts investments from anywhere in the world, with contributions starting at just ÂŁ10.

Sachiti confirmed that the campaign has already received funding from investors in Zimbabwe and South Africa. This presents a unique opportunity for Zimbabweans to own equity in a revolutionary robotic car startup and be part of the future of AI-driven delivery.

🚀 Could Kar-Go be the next big thing in logistics? The next six months will determine whether Sachiti’s vision transforms into a global success story.

  1. Somethings will never change! The black man will always seek the approval of the Caucasian because he will always need the approval of Caucasian man in order to fell absence of confidence and security for what he creates with his hands. whats my point? This article reads…”William Sachitti the founder of Europes first self driving car“ but he is not European. You see what’s wrong yet? Or not? Applause for what he has invented but realize that the credit goes to Europe. This article does not read like the first African made self driving vehicle by an African. So I say this is the problem with the hand out from the Caucasia. At the end of the day, the Caucasian will give all credit due to him/herself and their nation. The black man continues to be blind to the facts! Mr. William congratulations but do not get too comfortable because you have revealed to them that you have soothing in you that can change Africa and trust mr they will not allow you to bring your technology to help your own people In Africa As you should already be doing at the moment. Last but not least they will in alive your ass soon as they realize that your technology cannot be competed against. Word to the wise is enough Mr. William If you can even see this post at all. If or when they decide to get rid of you, you won’t be the first Genius black man with such a tragic fate! In short, I say don’t believe the hype nor the donations and fundings you may be receiving for it I’d all to get you to reveal what you have and when you have given them enough, they will no longer need you.
