These comments were reportedly a reaction to Ankomah\u2019s earlier statement, in which she explained her reluctance to work with Kumawood actors due to what she described as <strong data-start=\"1008\" data-end=\"1049\">a lack of quality in their storylines<\/strong>.<\/p><p class=\"\" data-start=\"1052\" data-end=\"1284\">Following public backlash and rising tensions, LilWin approached Martha in an attempt to <strong data-start=\"1141\" data-end=\"1175\">settle the matter out of court<\/strong>. The court, recognizing this effort, adjourned the case to give both parties time to finalize the agreement.<\/p><h3 class=\"\" data-start=\"1286\" data-end=\"1329\"><strong data-start=\"1290\" data-end=\"1329\">Plaintiff\u2019s Legal Team Left Waiting<\/strong><\/h3><p class=\"\" data-start=\"1331\" data-end=\"1548\">During the hearing on <strong data-start=\"1353\" data-end=\"1371\">April 14, 2025<\/strong>, Martha\u2019s lawyer, <strong data-start=\"1390\" data-end=\"1411\">Nii Apiatu Plange<\/strong>, informed the court that the terms of settlement had been sent to LilWin\u2019s legal team <strong data-start=\"1498\" data-end=\"1511\">mid-March<\/strong>, but no feedback had been received.<\/p><blockquote data-start=\"1550\" data-end=\"1732\"><p class=\"\" data-start=\"1552\" data-end=\"1732\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3054\" src=\"https:\/\/cmtv.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Lil-Win_Toonzy.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"532\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cmtv.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Lil-Win_Toonzy.jpg 800w, https:\/\/cmtv.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Lil-Win_Toonzy-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/cmtv.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Lil-Win_Toonzy-768x511.jpg 768w, https:\/\/cmtv.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Lil-Win_Toonzy-310x205.jpg 310w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/p><p class=\"\" data-start=\"1552\" data-end=\"1732\">\u201cI sent the agreed terms to the defendant\u2019s lawyer for the defendant to sign in the middle of March. But as I speak, I have not heard anything from counsel,\u201d Plange told the court.<\/p><\/blockquote><h3 class=\"\" data-start=\"1734\" data-end=\"1777\"><strong data-start=\"1738\" data-end=\"1777\">Defense Attributes Delay to Illness<\/strong><\/h3><p class=\"\" data-start=\"1779\" data-end=\"2059\"><strong data-start=\"1779\" data-end=\"1797\">Jalila Sumaila<\/strong>, representing the defendant in place of lead counsel <strong data-start=\"1851\" data-end=\"1874\">Margaret Adjei-Twum<\/strong>, attributed the delay to Adjei-Twum\u2019s <strong data-start=\"1913\" data-end=\"1924\">illness<\/strong>. She informed the court that the documents had only recently been passed on to LilWin for signature and requested another adjournment.<\/p><blockquote data-start=\"2061\" data-end=\"2235\"><p class=\"\" data-start=\"2063\" data-end=\"2235\">\u201cMy instructions are that the terms have been given to the defendant to sign, and the substantive counsel is not well. Hence, we are praying for a date,\u201d Sumaila explained.<\/p><\/blockquote><h3 class=\"\" data-start=\"2237\" data-end=\"2271\"><strong data-start=\"2241\" data-end=\"2271\">Court Issues Final Warning<\/strong><\/h3><p class=\"\" data-start=\"2273\" data-end=\"2393\">Plange agreed to a final adjournment, cautioning that if the terms are not signed, <strong data-start=\"2356\" data-end=\"2392\">the case should proceed to trial<\/strong>.<\/p><blockquote data-start=\"2395\" data-end=\"2519\"><p class=\"\" data-start=\"2397\" data-end=\"2519\">\u201cWe will oblige them a last adjournment, and if they fail to sign, then we proceed with the matter,\u201d Plange stated firmly.<\/p><\/blockquote><p class=\"\" data-start=\"2521\" data-end=\"2655\">Presiding Judge <strong data-start=\"2537\" data-end=\"2569\">Justice Forson Agyapong Baah<\/strong> expressed disappointment with the delays, stressing the importance of moving forward.<\/p><blockquote data-start=\"2657\" data-end=\"2822\"><p class=\"\" data-start=\"2659\" data-end=\"2822\">\u201cI honestly thought today we were going to adopt the terms of settlement.
