Resistance to neocolonial interference and unwavering support for one of the few African leaders openly challenging Western dominance.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-23a565a e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"23a565a\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-6ecb32b elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"6ecb32b\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"\" data-start=\"768\" data-end=\"818\">Voices from the Ground: \u201cWe Are Already at War\u201d<\/h2><p class=\"\" data-start=\"820\" data-end=\"1021\">During a live broadcast featuring a mixed Ghanaian-German woman, a powerful question arose: <em data-start=\"912\" data-end=\"1021\">\u201cIsn\u2019t what we\u2019re doing just provoking Western attack? Since colonialism, Africa has never known true peace. Our people are still suffering and dying\u2014whether it\u2019s in our own countries or abroad. I\u2019m half-German, and yet I\u2019ll never be accepted there. A Black man was shot four times in the back in Germany just for being Black. The West has been at war with us. Here, when I took an Uber, the driver called me \u2018sister\u2019\u2014that\u2019s something I don\u2019t hear in Europe. That\u2019s why I\u2019m here. The war isn\u2019t coming. That alone tells you something. When the enemy tries so hard to take a leader down, it means that leader stands for something powerful. Look what they did to Gaddafi. Look what happened to Thomas Sankara. They recycled the same narrative of \u2018dictatorship\u2019 and \u2018human rights abuses\u2019\u2014but today, African youth are no longer fooled.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote><p class=\"\" data-start=\"2288\" data-end=\"2739\">Traor\u00e9\u2019s supporters point to his relentless grassroots efforts: building roads, inaugurating factories, and physically working alongside farmers in the field. Under past democratic regimes, Burkina Faso completed just 3,000 kilometers of road since independence. Traor\u00e9 has a 5,000-kilometer-per-year goal\u2014funded not by foreign loans but from national resources. This is no ceremonial figurehead; he is visibly present in the daily life of his people.<\/p><blockquote data-start=\"2741\" data-end=\"2966\"><p class=\"\" data-start=\"2743\" data-end=\"2966\">\u201cHe\u2019s not in a presidential palace enjoying V8 SUVs like other leaders. He\u2019s with the people, in the farms, at the factories, in the dirt. That\u2019s why the citizens of Burkina Faso sleep outside his residence\u2014to protect him.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote><hr class=\"\" data-start=\"2968\" data-end=\"2971\" \/><h2 class=\"\" data-start=\"2973\" data-end=\"3018\">Media Manipulation and the Recycled Script<\/h2><p class=\"\" data-start=\"3020\" data-end=\"3283\">A growing number of Africans are rejecting Western media portrayals of Traor\u00e9 as a destabilizing force. They argue that such coverage is a strategic distraction, diverting attention from deeper regional issues like the prolonged crises in Congo, Libya, and Sudan.<\/p><blockquote data-start=\"3285\" data-end=\"3530\"><p class=\"\" data-start=\"3287\" data-end=\"3530\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3526\" src=\"https:\/\/cmtv.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/General-Langley_Burkina_Traitor_Toon.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"726\" height=\"414\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cmtv.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/General-Langley_Burkina_Traitor_Toon.jpg 726w, https:\/\/cmtv.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/General-Langley_Burkina_Traitor_Toon-300x171.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 726px) 100vw, 726px\" \/><\/p><p class=\"\" data-start=\"3287\" data-end=\"3530\">\u201cWhen they planned to assassinate him, suddenly the U.S. issued a \u2018Level 4 Travel Advisory\u2019 to that exact region. Coincidence? We don\u2019t think so. They\u2019re always a few steps ahead when it\u2019s about intervention. But this time, we see through it.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote><p class=\"\" data-start=\"3532\" data-end=\"3683\">Many believe that if Traor\u00e9 is taken down, chaos will follow\u2014just like in Libya after Gaddafi\u2019s fall. The destruction isn\u2019t collateral; it\u2019s strategic.<\/p><hr class=\"\" data-start=\"3685\" data-end=\"3688\" \/><h2 class=\"\" data-start=\"3690\" data-end=\"3762\">The Bigger Picture: The Sahel, Ivory Coast, and the Battle for Access<\/h2><p class=\"\" data-start=\"3764\" data-end=\"4092\">Geopolitically, Burkina Faso lies at the heart of the Sahel, making it a crucial gateway. Protesters claim that foreign interests\u2014assisted by regional collaborators like Ivory Coast\u2014are exploiting border proximity to destabilize the country. The Ivory Coast government, they argue, is acting as a bridge for neocolonial agendas.<\/p><p class=\"\" data-start=\"4094\" data-end=\"4205\">Meanwhile, neighboring Mali is reportedly under pressure from Algeria, further complicating regional alliances.<\/p><blockquote data-start=\"4207\" data-end=\"4380\"><p class=\"\" data-start=\"4209\" data-end=\"4380\">\u201cIf you allow them to take Ibrahim Traor\u00e9 down, they will ruin Burkina Faso like they did to Libya and Congo. And our so-called African leaders? Most of them stay silent.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote><hr class=\"\" data-start=\"4382\" data-end=\"4385\" \/><h2 class=\"\" data-start=\"4387\" data-end=\"4458\">Final Message: \u201cHands Off Burkina Faso. Hands Off the AES Alliance.\u201d<\/h2><p class=\"\" data-start=\"4460\" data-end=\"4749\">The message coming out of this growing resistance is direct: <strong data-start=\"4521\" data-end=\"4545\">Africa is waking up.<\/strong><br data-start=\"4545\" data-end=\"4548\" \/>The days of overthrowing visionary African leaders through media narratives and proxy interventions are ending. The youth know their history. They understand the tactics.
