The Ghana Police Service has announced the arrest of Bishop Elisha Salifu Amoako, Founder and Leader of Alive Chapel International, and his wife, Mouha Amoako, following a tragic accident involving their son, which resulted in two fatalities in East Legon on Sunday, October 12, 2024.<\/p>

In a statement shared on social media on Tuesday, October 15, the police revealed, “The parents of the 16-year-old suspect, Bishop Elisha Salifu Amoako and Mouha Amoako, are currently in custody assisting with the investigation.”<\/p>

Providing details gathered from the investigation, the police stated: “On October 12, 2024, the suspect, 16-year-old Elrad Salifu Amoako, was driving a Jaguar SUV with registration number GN 7801\u201320 and had one other passenger. He collided with a 4\u00d74 Acura vehicle, registration number GR 2542\u201323, driven by Joseph Ackah, who had four passengers on Mensah Wood Street in East Legon. Both vehicles caught fire and were completely destroyed.”<\/p>

The statement further revealed that three of the five people in the Acura were rescued, but tragically, two 12-year-olds, Justine Agbenu and Maame Dwomoh, lost their lives. Two of the rescued victims, who sustained minor injuries, were treated and discharged, while the third remains hospitalized.<\/p>

The suspect driver and his passenger were also rescued and are currently receiving treatment in the hospital, the statement added.<\/p>

In light of the incident, the police visited the bereaved families to offer condolences and also visited the injured in the hospital.
