Electoral Commission Bars NDC Candidate<\/strong><\/h2>

Joana Gyan Cudjoe<\/strong>, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate<\/strong> for Amenfi Central<\/strong>, has been disqualified<\/strong> from contesting in the 2024 parliamentary elections<\/strong> by the Electoral Commission<\/strong>.<\/p>

This decision follows an Interlocutory Injunction<\/strong> issued by the High Court in Sekondi<\/strong> on May 31, 2024<\/strong>, in the case of Gyedu Frimpong & 4 Others vs. Joana Gyan Cudjoe, the NDC, and the Electoral Commission<\/strong>.<\/p>

b)<\/strong> The 2nd and 3rd Defendants\/Respondents<\/strong> (the NDC and the Electoral Commission), including their agents and officers<\/strong>, are prohibited from recognizing or granting her any rights or privileges<\/strong> as the duly elected NDC parliamentary candidate<\/strong> for the Amenfi Central Constituency<\/strong>.<\/p><\/blockquote>
